ERIKO URANO

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1984, Eriko Urano is a painter who is well-versed in the traditional Japanese painting style known as Nihonga. Influenced by literature and East Asian paintings, her work is characterised by fantasy and narrative aspects and often features wildlife and floral subjects.

Eriko has studied Nihonga under the Japanese painter Mie SUZUKI (Chairperson of Nihonga Institute) and Miyoko IWAMOTO (Director of Nihonga Institute).
